Frequently Asked Questions

We can’t wait to stay at Quinta Bohemia! Where is the closest airport?

The closest airport is Faro, approximately a 25-minute drive from our location. Lisbon is about a two-and-a-half-hour drive, while Sevilla is a two-hour drive away (excluding a potential stop for tapas!). Safe travels!

What are the transportation options for traveling from the airport and getting around?

The quinta is situated 3 km from the Portuguese village of Moncarapacho and 6 km from the coastal fishing town of Olhao. For transportation, you have the option to rent a car through www.expedia.com. or other similar platform Alternatively, you can use rideshare services such as Uber or Bolt from the airport and then rent a bike directly from us for local mobility. It's worth noting that while there are a few bike paths, most of your cycling will be on main roads or dirt roads.

I understand that each casita comes with a well-equipped kitchen. Could you provide details on how we can stock the fridge?

The nearest supermarkets are located in Moncarapacho, just 3 km away. Upon arrival, you may consider grabbing breakfast and essential meal items on your journey to the Quinta. Alternatively, you can enjoy coffee and breakfast in town in the morning and then stock up on food and beverages at that time.

Are there towels, sheets and linen?

Yes, of course! Soft and comfy!

We are traveling light. Is there a washing machine ?

Yes, we have a communal washing machine on-site.

Is parking easy at Quinta Bohemia?

Nestled in the beautiful Algarve nature, there is ample parking space. A primary parking area is situated right at the gate, complemented by an additional parking space located across the street.

How about Internet? I have a Zoom meeting scheduled during my stay and I can't miss it.

We have Starlink satellite Internet. It is fast and reliable.

We will be accompanied by a toddler. Could you confirm if you provide a baby crib and a high chair?

Yes we offer the ‘baby set,’ which includes a crib and a high chair for a fee of €25 for the duration of your entire stay. And yes, you may need a break too! Ask us about baby sitters so that you can have a morning, afternoon, or night out while your little one is sleeping under good care or having a blast!

Is your place kid-friendly?

Certainly! We adore having young ones around. They will have a blast on the forest swings and trampoline. We also have beach toys and board games for all to use. It's important to mention that our pool is unfenced. Therefore, we kindly request parents to ensure constant supervision for children who may not be proficient swimmers while in the gardens, and we recommend the use of life vests for added safety.

What about dogs? I can’t travel without my dear English Cocker Spaniel.

Sorry but the quinta is not suited for our furry friends. We can only accept service dogs.

I am coming with friends and family. Can we rent multiple houses at once?

Absolutely! You can indeed rent multiple houses at once. Our setup is ideal for small groups. Each casita is independent, and there are plenty of common areas for everyone to gather. Please feel free to reach out to us directly to coordinate simultaneous bookings.

Is it possible to privatize Quinta Bohemia for a retreat, company off site, or gathering ?

Good idea. The place is perfect for this. Make sure to contact us well in advance.

Is Quinta Bohemia open year round?

Yes! Winter is actually our favorite season in the Algarve… mild temperatures of 17-24 degrees…. The air and light are pure and the landscape green and peaceful. No wait at the restaurant, and traffic is pretty much non-existent. And you can still take a refreshing dive in our (non-heated) pool!

What is the distance to the nearest beaches?

Fuseta Beach, situated in the charming fishing village of Fuseta, is easily accessible and just under a 15-minute drive away. The laid-back Faro beach, known for its surf break, is within a half-hour drive. Additionally, boats departing for the breathtaking islands of the Ria Formosa National Park can be found in Olhao, a mere 15-minute drive from our location.

I like to connect with the local culture and discover local treasures. Is Algarve a good place for me to visit.
